Thoughts and emotions manifest in your vibrational frequency. Your vibration is the “signal” you are broadcasting out into the world, to draw more to you. Thoughts alone cannot easily attract either positive or negative though – the important piece behind the thought is our emotional vibration. This focus on worry and fear of not having enough money, only attracts more of the same! What you want to do is learn how to change the way you think to a prosperous mindset. The one that is tuned in vibrationally to a steady stream of glorious income. When you do that deliberately you will start to notice feedback from the universe. Little ways in which the cosmos speaks to you, showing you that you are on the right path to abundance.
As you move forward defining characteristics and attributes, define physical attributes and define the associated feelings. If you are shooting for happy, define happy. What is that for you? Take time to define and describe every detail. Remember the old saying, ‘Be careful what you ask for you just might get it?’ Keep in mind that you leave nothing to chance. An incomplete description can leave multiple options for the materialization of your dream; some may be just what you asked for but not at all what you wanted. Be specific. The more time you spend here, the more comprehensive your definition of your dream, the more accurately your dream will materialize in a way that closely resembles what you desire.
Remember that there is a difference between sending out a hope that something you'd like to happen will happen and putting in the appropriate effort or planning to ensure that something actually will happen. If you don't believe that something will happen, perhaps you're not willing to plan and work for it. You need a balance of both hope (to inspire) and effort (to achieve) for an outcome to be realized.
And, just as an important side note: Your subconscious is way, way more powerful than you possibly give it credit for. Most people don’t realize this fact. Your subconscious knows exactly what you’re going to do. It’s infinitely more aware of what’s happening in the universe than your conscious mind. It simply won’t be bullied. It’s happy for you to tell it what to do, once you master the process of doing so.
Which brought me to this basic statement of the fundamental Abraham teaching. And what a fine, excellent book it is. It explains so many things, why things are the way they are, why we keep trying to change things, but keep winding up with the same disappointing, unwanted results, and how to change the way we tell the Universe what it is we truly want.
A lot of emphasis is put on the new age philosophy that we have to think positive thoughts but more importantly we have to focus on what is behind the thoughts, that is your state of being. Are you in a “fulfilled” state or are you in a “needy” state. Needy state is an illusion that thing you desire will buy you happiness. This greatly hampers the manifestation and you would be attached to the outcome and not be able to put in your best efforts. Be in the fulfilled state. Now it can get tricky here, you will now put the fulfilled state into a desirable object. Don’t do that, you just have to keep watching your mind objectively when it acts in needy state and that state will lose its grip. I highly recommend Anthony de Mello’s book “The Way to Love” to go beyond attachments and fear. Also find a meditation path that suits you. This will greatly help you to align your intentions with the totality’s intentions.
While affirmations and visualizations are two of the most important tools at your disposal when working with the Law of Attraction, they are far from the only techniques that you can use to create the life you desire. For example, there are Law of Attraction exercises that specifically target negative feelings and help you work on dismissing them, and ways of stopping self-undermining thoughts before they can emerge and take hold. Life supports us in every step we take, during every second of our time. We don’t usually acknowledge for everything that life provides us. Take time each day to thank life for the things you already have. Thank for the positives even in difficult situations. Say you are stuck in terrible traffic, you can be thankful that there is a road, and you are sitting in a vehicle, that the traffic will at least clear slowly etc. This helps you to be in the “fulfilled” state.
You may find that you thought you knew exactly what you wanted, but now that you are no longer defining your dream in terms of what it lacks you are no longer sure what it is that you really desire. Definition, clarity this is often the most challenging part of the process and where novice manifestors give up. Do not give in; take as long as it takes to get clear on what you want in your life.
