6) No Challenges: Challenges are considered negative thoughts and are to be avoided. Besides, if you’ve theoretically already achieved your goal, there could not be any challenges. As Esther Hicks, has stated, “Once you have recognized that thinking of what you do not want only attracts more of what you do not want into your experience, controlling your thoughts will not be a difficult thing…” There are many goal-achieving benefits to acknowledging and planning for challenges that may arise. Unfortunately, a belief in a law of attraction does not allow for you to accomplish this.
Having the simple knowledge and understanding of how powerful the spoken word truly can be, we can utilize it as manifestation tool. Simply stating our desires out loud can be more powerful than we realize. Affirmations are a great example of this to start the manifestation process because we are announcing to the Universe the outcome we want to create as if it has already happened.

People living today have the same access to the original creators' texts online as people in 1880 had in printed books. It's exactly the same material. You're essentially arguing against yourself because asserting that no one knows for sure about it would have to apply to the people in 1880 as well. Your argument is an appeal to ignorance, which is a logical fallacy. The text in the creators' books is precisely the data he's referring to, a intellectual creation that has absolutely no scientific basis.
The simple act of reading or uttering positive sounding statements is futile. This will do nothing to help us manifest our desires. In order for an attraction affirmation to work, it must resonate emotionally with us. If I’m attempting to lose weight and therefore I recite an affirmation every morning about how slim I am or how slender I will be in the future, it will have no effect UNLESS I truly believe in the words I am reading. Many use attraction affirmations under the misguided notion that they DO believe what they are reading or saying. However, there is a big difference between wanting to believe in something and actually believing it. When contemplating 'How to write affirmations that will bring the quickest results, belief is the most important factor.

Yes, I am familiar with that phrase, although not sure how it applies to this situation. I am the source and you would like me to consider myself? I do not have an employer. Psychology Today provides a forum for articles and discussions. They do not hire me or pay me. They are not the source of this information. I take full responsibility for the content.

You’re also competing with other people’s intentions – both good and bad. So, be aware that if your desire is in direct conflict with someone else’s stronger desire, the universe will respond accordingly. The Law of Attraction does not give you full and total control of your life, it simply states that like will attract like. You can use this to your advantage by being intentional with your desires, but this isn’t magic.
Focus on what you want. Give it attention and give it love. If you have your heart set on getting a promotion, for example, commit to holding yourself to the idea that you already have the promotion. By believing that what you want is not only possible, but also your birthright, you release resistance and allow that which you desire to flow easily to you.

At the end of the experiment, those who imagined they were physically younger showed signs of de-aging. Blood pressure was lowered, arthritis was diminished and even eyesight and hearing in this control group improved. By simply imagining themselves younger, some physical aging was actually reversed. Their thoughts and imagination made this happen.
Some personal questions that you don't have to answer on this site but to think about. Is your house paid off? If you have children, are all of their college tuitions completely paid for? Are you still working at a job? If so, is that because you'd rather be working there than on a long vacation to your favorite places? Are you driving a brand new (fill in the name of your favorite car here)? Are all your hopes, dreams, and wishes coming true?
Do you believe that you are not worthy of having food, shelter, nice things… well, there you might have a bit of trouble so I encourage you to have a chat – a long, deep chat – with your Higher Self and your angels and guides. They will steer you in the right direction of believing that you are a Divine being who IS – absolutely – worthy of what you desire.

Which brought me to this basic statement of the fundamental Abraham teaching. And what a fine, excellent book it is. It explains so many things, why things are the way they are, why we keep trying to change things, but keep winding up with the same disappointing, unwanted results, and how to change the way we tell the Universe what it is we truly want.

LOA, properly applied (and many LOA practitioners do not understand this), does not mean one should not plan, make goals.etc. When PROPERLY applied, both action-orientated goals combined with a positive mental attitude will attract/bring/result in the circumstances for success. Hence, it's employing the right techniques in the physical and mental planes.
The original creators of the law of attraction going back to the 1880s including Prentice Mulford,James Allen, Thomas Troward, William Walker Atkinson, Bruce MacLelland, Wallace Wattles, Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, and W. Clement Stone promoted the belief that this is a universal law in which you attract only what you are thinking about. Modern LOA proponents such as Rhonda Byrne, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, Joe Vitale, The Hicks family, and many others have stated similar beliefs.
the trouble is in the mind, for the body is only the house for the mind to dwell in, and we put a value on it according to its worth. Therefore if your mind has been deceived by some invisible enemy into a belief, you have put it into the form of a disease, with or without your knowledge. By my theory or truth, I come in contact with your enemy and restore you to your health and happiness. This I do partly mentally and partly by talking till I correct the wrong impressions and establish the Truth, and the Truth is the cure.[11]

In the likes of The Laws of Attraction, The Secret, and The Science of Getting Rich, this books makes for an uplifting read. It begins by explaining that all matter begins with a thought which, by the way, some interpret as the universal consciousness. The message is to dream and to believe in and realize your dreams. ... Determine the desire you would like to see made manifest. For an example, let’s say you desire to lose weight. It’s very important to begin with the beliefs you currently hold. Beliefs can and do shift as our thoughts change and shift, but we must allow some time for this occur. Start where you currently are. Write as positive a statement as possible while still adhering to something you can believe. A statement such as “I am becoming super slender as I sleep” will have no ability to attract or manifest your desire if you do not believe it. Perhaps a statement such as “I know my body is capable of becoming more slender” would be more believable and will still likely illicit a response of positive emotion. What you are looking for as you write your basic affirmation is a feeling of resonance or positive emotion when you read it. You want something that give you an inner “Yes! I know this is true and I know I can do this” feeling. Think of an affirmation as a ‘cheerleader’ of sorts, spurring you on and uplifting you to feel positive about the attainment of you goal. Keep in mind that once you reach a place where the full attainment of your desire feels easy, believable and probable, you are right on the cusp of its manifestation. Affirmations are stepping stones to take us to that place.
Most of the times, we think we know exactly what we need to be happy, what we need to get rid of, what needs to happen and what shouldn’t happen. Sometimes we are right and sometimes we are wrong. You can look into your past or study any person’s past and realise that the big jumps in maturity, life satisfaction, gratitude etc. happen when things go drastically wrong and we realise there is more to life than the surface appearances and start enjoying life at a different level. This reminds me of a Dalai Lama’s quote, “Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck”. So answering the second question. No, you won’t always get what you want.
This takes practice, but I promise if you stick with it, it will work. I went from a place of such illness and financial poverty to the exact opposite and I believe so much of it had to do with my shift in focus. When I received my stem cell transplant in India (which by the way practically fell in my lap when I finally wasn’t focusing on illness as much), I was literally catapulted into another culture: “the mind leads and the body follows.” I was not allowed to focus on the symptoms and the sucky things each day. My doctor there simply would not stand for it and would immediately say “the stem cells help heal your body along with your mind. They do not kill or address disease at all.” When I attempted to add my two cents about this bacteria or toxin, she would bring me back to the focus on bringing my body up, toward healing. And I healed exponentially faster than so many others that resisted her insistence away from the talk of disease specifics. She knew very well what she was doing….and I see that now.

The Law of Attraction is among the most popular of the Universal Laws.[3] Advocates of this mind-power paradigm generally combine cognitive reframing techniques with affirmations and creative visualization to replace limiting or self-destructive ("negative") thoughts with more empowered, adaptive ("positive") thoughts. A key component of the philosophy is that in order to effectively change one's negative thinking patterns, one must also "feel" (through creative visualization) that the desired changes have already occurred. This combination of positive thought and positive emotion is believed to allow one to attract positive experiences and opportunities by achieving resonance with the proposed energetic law.[4]
It’s difficult to imagine that thoughts and feelings can have an effect on the world around us. Fortunately, advances in technology and science allow us to visibly and immediately experience the effects of our thoughts. Just like watching an apple fall through the air, there are experiments that demonstrate the immediate effects of thoughts and feelings.

Now, with this book, readers can learn how to use the Law of Attraction deliberately and integrate it into their daily life. By doing this, they will attract all they need to do, know, and have so they can get more of what they want and less of what they don't want. With its easy-to-follow 3-step formula (Identify Your Desire, Give Your Desire Attention, and Allowing), complete with tips, tools, exercises, and scripts, LAW OF ATTRACTION shows readers how to:
The Law of Attraction exists and is working, whether you like it or not. If you end up using it for your benefit or to your detriment, it is still be working in the background of our lives. And, there is no way I would ever play a game without reading the rules so I decided to give it another shot. Living without knowing how The Law of Attraction works was scarier than facing it, head on. So, I took a leap of faith and decided to play the game according to the “rules” I learned.
If you’ve been part of the yes supply community for a while now you’ll know all about manifestation and the power of positive thoughts. If you’re new around here, manifesting is the idea that by filling your subconscious with thoughts and images of what you really want and by speaking positively about these things, you will bring them into your real life and manifest your yes.
As previously discussed, The Law Of Attraction and its values have been seen throughout history. And a great many women and men who have left their mark on this world have shown the Law of Attraction to be one of the greatest powers on earth; with many well-loved poets, artists, scientists and great thinkers such as Shakespeare, Blake, Emerson, Newton and Beethoven all conveying this message through their many works.
Whatever you want already exists in your imagination, doesn’t it? Therefore it is just as real as any other idea you have ever had that came to fruition. Play with the belief that what you want is already waiting for you. You’ve placed the order, now you’re on your way to pick it up. What have you got to lose? After all, you don’t “need” what you desire, it’s just for fun.
