Visualization is one of the most essential tools in every leadership toolkit. To gain maximum benefit, you must make your visualization as realistic as possible. Athletes have been successfully using visualization for years in their training. A golfer may visualize the perfect chip shot or a basketball player the ideal process for making a free throw.
It's curious that people who believe in a LOA are critical of those who don't and believe them to be close-minded. I have presented a lot of new data such as the erroneous science and the data showing that acting as though you had already accomplished your goals was detrimental to you doing so. Yet, LOA proponents do not look at this with an open mind and reconsider their belief system. In this way LOA is akin to a faith-based religion, except that religious beliefs can't be disproven.
The negative thought processes that hold people back will steadily be replaced with thoughts of abundance, prosperity and opportunity. Rather than being a magical quick-fix, it will work at making your brain more receptive and tuned in to opportunities around you so that you are much more likely to take advantage of them to produce exciting positive life changes.
The brain begins operating in the theta frequencies right before we fall asleep and just before we wake up. It is during this time when we dream and also where unconscious pathway connections are formed to process and retain information. Theta wavelengths are acknowledged as being an exceptional state for learning, intuition and clear visualization.
The Law of Attraction can be understood by understanding that ‘like attracts like'. What this means is that whether we realize it or not, we are responsible for bringing both positive and negative influences into our lives. A key part of the Law of Attraction is understanding that where you place your focus can have an intense impact on what happens to you. If you spend your days wallowing in regrets about the past or fears of the future, you’ll likely see more negativity appearing, but if you look for the silver lining in every experience then you’ll soon start to see positivity surrounding you every day. Therefore, the Law of Attraction encourages you to see that you have the freedom to take control of how your future develops, shaping it in the ways you choose.
Another really great manifestation technique using the spoken word is that of a mantra. Similar to an affirmation, it’s something we can repeat over and over throughout the day. More like a chant, it’s catchier than an affirmation and the more we say it, the more we connect to it energetically. An affirmation allows us to state a truth about our desired reality, but a mantra to me feels so much more about what we are. It’s a great way to shift your reality and your truth very quickly. Remember, your truth is your reality and your reality is your truth.
Throw emotion and energy into everything you do. Even negative emotions can be transmuted into positive. Did you ever see someone red in the face with anger suddenly see the humor in a situation and burst into laughter? It can be one of the most beautiful things to witness. Do everything you do with emotion and the universe will love you for it. The law of attraction brings a tidal wave of energy that flows through emotion.
We are talking a lot on this site about the power of our subconscious (see the article about how positive affirmations work): the more you repeat an affirmation, the more you believe it’s true. Now, affirmations – they’re only sentences. “This is red” and “this isn’t red” – these are both affirmations, just like “I am pretty” and “I’m not very pretty”. The difference – the first one, positive one, makes you feel good about yourself, and the other – not so much.
“Oh, it’s gonna be a wonderful day!” This sentence can hardly be said without enthusiasm, without really feeling that everything around you is great. Now, imagine waking up every morning with the intention to manifest a great day for yourself, with the strong conviction that the day will be just the way you want, and saying this sentence. With intention, not by accident; with belief, not by default.
Manifestation Magic written by Nathan Cadbury is a short work detailing positive steps one can take to change the way they think in order to change their circumstances. I received this book in exchange for a review and found this inspirational self-help book well written though a bit repetitive. I suspect the repetition is intentional in order to reinforce the concepts explored by the author. The material presents as a coach or mentor would approach a student they were hoping to lift up to higher levels of thought and action. The visualization techniques would be helpful to anyone setting new goals or preparing for a life course change.

As you move forward defining characteristics and attributes, define physical attributes and define the associated feelings. If you are shooting for happy, define happy. What is that for you? Take time to define and describe every detail. Remember the old saying, ‘Be careful what you ask for you just might get it?’ Keep in mind that you leave nothing to chance. An incomplete description can leave multiple options for the materialization of your dream; some may be just what you asked for but not at all what you wanted. Be specific. The more time you spend here, the more comprehensive your definition of your dream, the more accurately your dream will materialize in a way that closely resembles what you desire.
As always with the law of attraction, never focus on the negative side of things: “I hate my job and I want to quit” will only attract more of the negative things related to your current job, making you feel like you’re trapped, causing you to attach more negative feelings related to changing your job; similarly, since the words are the expression of our thoughts, don’t use the negative words – like don’t, won’t, dislike, hate, unhappy.
So why bother with the manifestation technique in the first place? Because it is a way to open the door to possibility. To focus your energy on creating the circumstances to bring the desired outcome. To state your intention to the universe so that it can bring it to you. Because taking action on your desire will became a magical adventure. Each day will bring new opportunities, new ideas, new possibilities to take inspired action.
Banish guilt and feelings of self-doubt from your life and your internal world forever. No negotiation. I did it, and it worked like a dream. You have no more right or need to feel any more guilty than a butterfly. And like a butterfly, you are free to fly and celebrate your uniqueness today. You are ready for a life of awesome results and celebration. But are you ready to give yourself permission to do this yet?
Although this final step might not look that significant at first glance, it can actually do a lot to shape your manifestation potential in the future. Basically, the key thought is that you need to fully appreciate what you have once you achieve your goal. It can be easy to forget that you asked for what you received, so take proactive steps to prevent this.
