I kept hearing about this book. I expected it to be a new age, wish on a star book. But, it was a good read. It reminded me that, at least to some extent, we do create our own reality by the attitude we project. If we are a grump, we attract other grumps, not happy persons, to us. And so on. It is a quick read, a fun read, lots of white space, easy to understand and assimilate, no high psychology words, no mumbo jumbo. Good illustrations. Definitely written for the layman. I've also seen Losier's videos and they are more of the same.
I have known of the Law Of Attraction (LOA) for many years, and first went to hear Abraham in the early 1980s, but I considered the LOA too simple a formula, too cute, to be all that Abraham says. But, after another 35 years of spiritual study, I found myself once again back at the LOA. Only this time with a realization: the LOA is the gravity of the Universe. Perhaps not in a purely physical sense, but by analogy, it is exactly that
This is a great book. But it doesn't really get into "The Secret BEHIND The Secret" so-to-speak. "The Master Key System" by Charles F. Haanel still is, and will ALWAYS be, the greatest book on this subject that has ever existed. It is "one stop shopping" and explains it all in a very simple and easy-to-read book that is almost a hundred years old. This book was the third I got from Esther and Jerry Hicks, and was not a bad read for what I knew at the time. But "The Master Key System" was TRULY the life-transforming book I needed to read. And THAT was the one that changed my life. This one goes into WHAT The Law of Attraction can do. But not really HOW or WHY.
I used to do a lot of work helping people to stop smoking. There are only 2 reasons people don’t stop smoking. One, because they don’t want to (often this is subconscious) Two, because they don’t believe it’s possible. Or they assume it will be incredibly difficult and painful, and they can’t do it without suffering forever. (Again, this is often subconscious and it is a flawed assumption).
It’s more accurate to see them as manifestations of a lifetime’s voracious, multivalent reading and looking—inventive mental collages or marvelous pastiches of unimaginably wide-ranging sources. — Karen Wilkin, WSJ, "‘Born to Be Posthumous’ Review: Peculiar, Cynical, Ironic & Witty," 21 Dec. 2018 Similarly, a comet or meteor streaking across the sky might have looked very snakelike to superstitious Norsemen, who likely would have viewed them as manifestations of Jormungand. — Jennifer Ouellette, Ars Technica, "“Wolf’s jaw” star cluster may have inspired parts of Ragnarök myth," 16 Nov. 2018 Blurryface was widely received as a manifestation of Joseph's self doubts. — Alessandra Rincón, Billboard, "5 Things We Want From Twenty One Pilots' New Album," 6 July 2018 Which seems to me the perfect physical manifestation of my grief — pieces of Sean absorbed into my own being, lodged in my brain and my heart, his loss now an inextricable part of my blood, my body, my life, my story. — Shannon Leone Fowler, The Cut, "The Strange Pregnancy Fact That Helped Me Mourn My Fiancé’s Death," 19 Mar. 2018 New moons correspond with beginnings, so this is a great time to practice a money manifestation. — Aliza Kelly Faragher, Allure, "What Your Sign's November Horoscope Predictions Mean for You," 28 Oct. 2018 So Trump is the manifestation of all of these policies that have really made no sense of all. — Eric Johnson, Recode, "Full Q&A: ‘Dear America’ author Jose Antonio Vargas on Recode Decode," 24 Nov. 2018 California is a deep blue state and one manifestation of its left-leaning politics is a high level of taxation, particularly levies on personal income. — Dan Walters, San Francisco Chronicle, "Will $12 billion tax bite drive rich from California?," 23 Apr. 2018 What’s happening in Wisconsin and Michigan is only the latest manifestation of a broader anti-democratic trend, which in the past decade or so has become part of the party’s identity. — Zack Beauchamp, Vox, "The Wisconsin power grab is part of a bigger Republican attack on democracy," 6 Dec. 2018
I am trained as a "hard science" PhD in Pharmacology and do understand scientific method. The LOA is not based on scientific method and the erroneous conclusions in metaphysics are based on incorrect scientific assumptions. These assumptions may have seemed reasonable in the 1800s that there was no air around us, only ether and that thoughts only transmit through ether. Perhaps this assumption is correct, however we are not surrounded by ether.

11) Blame the Victim:  The only reason that anything bad could ever happen to you is because you were thinking bad thoughts. If someone rear-ends you in a car – 100% your fault. If you get breast cancer – 100% your fault (not genetics). If you get raped or abused – 100% your fault. Children getting killed by terrorists, sick babies in the intensive care unit, victims of floods, hurricanes, natural disasters, the Holocaust – yes, their fault. We all know deep inside that this is ridiculous to even suggest. However, it is a basic, fundamental premise of the LOA. You NEVER attract something you are not thinking about. When anything bad happens to anyone, they are to blame. Don’t feel sorry for anyone who has cancer or a disease or starving children in poverty, they brought it on themselves. What causes obesity? Slow metabolism? No, fat thoughts.  From LOA experts, “Disease cannot live in a body that’s in a healthy emotional state.” (Bob Proctor).  “You cannot catch anything unless you think you can, and thinking you can is inviting it to you with your thought.” (From The Secret). “Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results; bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results. Suffering is always the effect of wrong thought in some direction.” (James Allen). “If man will think only thoughts of perfect health, he can cause within himself the functioning of perfect health…” (Wallace Wattles). “Every individual creates every aspect of their experiences – we are in complete control of our health throughout our entire lives. There are no accidents.” (Esther Hicks).
We could go back and forth for years about this since your beliefs are based on faith and mine are based on proven effectiveness. You have faith in a system that sometimes seems to work for you and when it doesn't you adapt your thinking to say, this is obviously good for me and that's why I'm attracting it. I would rather make my list of goals based on my values and principles and attain them in an inspired (by a more complete visualization method) in an action-based system where I am in control..
So, for example, there’s little point in saying you want to start a new business in 24 hours unless you actually believe you can attain this goal in the next day. However, you may well believe that you can successfully manifest the next step in your journey to a new business in a day, in which case you might set that as your goal (e.g. to complete a business plan, get a loan you need, or find someone to collaborate with).

Although there is a lot of worth to even simply learning what the Law of Attraction is, you can really start using it to its full potential when you begin to understand that it can be used in subtle ways every minute of the day. Becoming more mindful of your own thoughts helps you to see to discover what you should keep or remove from your own mind and the reality your experience. You will become more attentive to underlying negativity and can start to combat it with new beliefs and feelings that better reflect your positive vision of the coming days. This ongoing focus on self-reflection also enables you to start seeing what you really want from your future, and you can then progress to formulating clearer goals with actionable steps at every stage.
The Law of Attraction--the belief that positive thoughts attract positive outcomes while negativity begets negative outcomes--has gotten a lot of attention in recent years. Some people don't believe it exists, while others swear by its effectiveness. Whichever camp you're in, there are lessons business leaders can learn from its core message. And, these lessons can help you in both your personal and professional life.
According to Michael Losier’s The Law of Attraction (LOA), you attract into your life whatever you focus your attention and energy on, whether positive or negative. While it is relatively easy to understand this principle, it can sometimes prove challenging to put to use. Oftentimes, when people claim that the LOA doesn’t work, they just haven’t yet mastered how to utilize this powerful and reliable energetic law of the Universe.
As always with the law of attraction, never focus on the negative side of things: “I hate my job and I want to quit” will only attract more of the negative things related to your current job, making you feel like you’re trapped, causing you to attach more negative feelings related to changing your job; similarly, since the words are the expression of our thoughts, don’t use the negative words – like don’t, won’t, dislike, hate, unhappy.
the trouble is in the mind, for the body is only the house for the mind to dwell in, and we put a value on it according to its worth. Therefore if your mind has been deceived by some invisible enemy into a belief, you have put it into the form of a disease, with or without your knowledge. By my theory or truth, I come in contact with your enemy and restore you to your health and happiness. This I do partly mentally and partly by talking till I correct the wrong impressions and establish the Truth, and the Truth is the cure.[11]
Law of Attraction experts almost universally recommend using positive affirmations. However, perhaps you’ve struggled to design affirmations that work for you. Alternatively, perhaps you’re new to the Law of Attraction and are not sure how to start using positive daily affirmations in the most productive way to program your subconscious mind. Although you may know that they’re supposed to be a powerful tool, maybe you just don’t understand how affirmations work best and are worried that you’re limiting your manifestation potential.
wallace wattles is not god. just because a teacher of a subject says something dumb like don't help the poor ever doesn't mean the whole subject they teach is worthless. but it's true that if you surround yourself with low achieving struggling people it will effect you differently than the opposite and if you think about illness and victimhood most of the time it will effect you differently than health and power
The Law of Attraction exists and is working, whether you like it or not. If you end up using it for your benefit or to your detriment, it is still be working in the background of our lives. And, there is no way I would ever play a game without reading the rules so I decided to give it another shot. Living without knowing how The Law of Attraction works was scarier than facing it, head on. So, I took a leap of faith and decided to play the game according to the “rules” I learned.
You claim that "positive thoughts always resulting in positive things" is not the basis of the LOA. In part you are correct. The foundational basis in science, as I alluded to in the article was that thought stuff particles travel through ether (not air) and interact with formless stuff to create whatever it is that you are thinking about. This was how "the law" started.

There are two levels of intentions, one held in our mind and one held in Totality’s intelligence (you can replace the word totality with God, Almighty, Life etc.). Totality knows about the whole picture all the time (whole picture meaning the consequences of a result on everyone and everything in the world), whereas we can’t comprehend the entire picture, but there are ways to align ourselves with the totality to ease the manifestation process, bringing joy to our lives and help you be of value to our society at the same time achieving what we want.
Step 1 is important because it prepares your mind and body to receive whatever you’re asking for. Our brains don’t know the difference between reality and imagination. When you engage in full, sensory imagination, your brain fires up your body to move forward. Muscles, blood flow, heart, lungs and every part of your body gear up to take part in whatever you’re imagining.
"[Manifesting destiny and the Law of Attraction are best explained by] the Law of Karma. It basically states that you will get negative if you think negative. For example, if you say, 'I never win anything' and you enter a raffle, you simply won’t win. You declared you won’t. If you focus on winning, and the person next to you puts out more positive energy than you do, you won’t win. The key is to give out the same energy you want back. If you want happiness, you look for the happiness and surround yourself with it and yours will grow," Estes explains.
Money is just a means of exchange and if you put out the right vibrations, you will attract the situations that call for inspired (read: joyful) action, and then you’ll get the results you desire. It’s important to hold your visualization for as long as you can without any mental or emotional interruption: aim for at least half a minute several times a day, consistently, for a month or so.
