Determine the desire you would like to see made manifest. For an example, let’s say you desire to lose weight. It’s very important to begin with the beliefs you currently hold. Beliefs can and do shift as our thoughts change and shift, but we must allow some time for this occur. Start where you currently are. Write as positive a statement as possible while still adhering to something you can believe. A statement such as “I am becoming super slender as I sleep” will have no ability to attract or manifest your desire if you do not believe it. Perhaps a statement such as “I know my body is capable of becoming more slender” would be more believable and will still likely illicit a response of positive emotion. What you are looking for as you write your basic affirmation is a feeling of resonance or positive emotion when you read it. You want something that give you an inner “Yes! I know this is true and I know I can do this” feeling. Think of an affirmation as a ‘cheerleader’ of sorts, spurring you on and uplifting you to feel positive about the attainment of you goal. Keep in mind that once you reach a place where the full attainment of your desire feels easy, believable and probable, you are right on the cusp of its manifestation. Affirmations are stepping stones to take us to that place.
The law of attraction suggests that you can attract positive or negative things into your life through your thoughts and actions. It relies on the theory that everything is made up of energy, so the type of energy you put out will come back to you. If you’re ready to use the law of attraction to tell the universe what you want, start by creating a positive mindset. Then, take action toward your goals and confront your setbacks with a good attitude.

How can you tell when you’ve reached a level of belief regarding an attraction affirmation? You will feel positive emotion or resonance with what you are reading or reciting. When you use an affirmation that resonates positively, you are using a tool that will help you to manifest your desires quickly. Another reason why I’ve written about “how to write affirmations” is because it’s extremely important when using attraction affirmations to personalize them to yourself. While there is no harm in using an affirmation written by someone else IF it resonates or vibrates in a highly compatible way with you. I can think of nothing better to successfully manifest your desires, than writing an attraction affirmation yourself that specifically applies to your own very unique situation and perspective. If writing your own affirmations from scratch seems too difficult, feel free to tweak the content of pre-written affirmations to suit your own personal requirements.

The simple act of reading or uttering positive sounding statements is futile. This will do nothing to help us manifest our desires. In order for an attraction affirmation to work, it must resonate emotionally with us. If I’m attempting to lose weight and therefore I recite an affirmation every morning about how slim I am or how slender I will be in the future, it will have no effect UNLESS I truly believe in the words I am reading. Many use attraction affirmations under the misguided notion that they DO believe what they are reading or saying. However, there is a big difference between wanting to believe in something and actually believing it. When contemplating 'How to write affirmations that will bring the quickest results, belief is the most important factor.
5) No Date: When you live as if you have already accomplished your goals, there is no reason to establish deadlines or timelines. As Secret author Rhonda Byrne stated, “It takes no time for the Universe to manifest what you want.” While goal setting research supports the importance of establishing timelines to achieve success, LOA experts assert that it would be inappropriate to set a deadline for the universe to achieve your goal.
Again, the masculine and feminine join together. This is time to slow down, while discerning and harvesting. Its season is autumn. Its moon phase is the half waning moon. After the full fruition of the creative act, it’s time to get quieter and reflect on the process. How did it go? What did you learn? What are you celebrating? What can go better next time? Do you have a sliver of a glimpse into the new vision, or new dream? Harvest the fruits and feast on them. Receive them deeply. Enjoy each one, like a delicious meal.
Israel Regardie published books with the Law of Attraction theme as one of his prevailing Universal Laws. In, The Art of True Healing: A Treatise on the Mechanism of Prayer and the Operation of the Law of Attraction in Nature (1937), he taught a focused meditation technique to help the mind to learn to heal itself on a physical and spiritual level. Regardie claimed that the Law of Attraction was a valid method for attracting good physical health and for improvement in any aspect of one's life.[62]
Banish guilt and feelings of self-doubt from your life and your internal world forever. No negotiation. I did it, and it worked like a dream. You have no more right or need to feel any more guilty than a butterfly. And like a butterfly, you are free to fly and celebrate your uniqueness today. You are ready for a life of awesome results and celebration. But are you ready to give yourself permission to do this yet?
Whatever the success rate is of achieving goals... that's really just one of the many "LoA" side effects, not LoA itself. Duh. And it largely depends on how people go about it anyway, and we all know how good people are at understanding "LoA"... just look at your own article HAHAHAHAHAHAH (it's pretty damn funny to be honest). Most are looking for shortcuts when they set goals. That's still "LoA" btw... when they don't achieve those goals.

Think about the strengths and energies that make you unique. When you were a child you thought to yourself “Wow, I am ME. Nobody else is me or can feel the feelings I feel. They’re mine alone. This energy is uniquely my energy.” Then, of course, the world trained you out of this way of seeing things. You wanted to be the same as everyone else (or at least, they wanted you to be the same). Breaking free and removing failure from your vocabulary allows you to follow your bliss with ease.


The problem sometimes comes when you unconsciously focus on not having what you want. Focusing on the obstacles or feeling anxious over the length of time a desire takes to manifest can inadvertently stave off your anticipated outcomes. Remember, energy flows where attention goes. Whatever you focus your attention on will increase in vibration. Check on how you’ve been focusing your attention by taking inventory of what you currently have going on in your life. If your current situation is undesirable, then it’s possible you’ve been focusing on negativity in some arena of your life. 
Be like a kid who allows no impossibility to enter her manifesting realm. "Feeling" helps us release any doubt and negative energy. It generates excitement and positive feelings, which support us to take inspired action! So go test drive that car you want, or feel what it will be like to have the perfect partner in your life, because feeling is believing!
8) No Support: Since you will always attract what you think about, you need to avoid any type of support groups for people with mental or physical illnesses or for people with similar experiences. Research shows that support groups such as alcoholics anonymous, weight watchers, or breast cancer support are beneficial. The LOA incorrectly predicts that you will make your problems worse.
Have been using this app for months and absolutely love it. In truth, the best thing to do is affirm yourself constantly throughout the day to maintain that way of thinking. Our advice is for people to always try these things and notice the difference in your life and what an impact it can have. Certainly when starting out it would be best to make this the first thing you do and many successful believers will have affirmation cards or post-it notes in view as soon as they wake for this reason.
I like what I just read, but after working so hard during the day at my regular job, I hardly have any energy left to concentrate on manifesting. I understand it takes discipline to accomplish this training but too often I’m sidetracked into negative thinking especially when things don’t go right during the day. I find myself being bogged down by stupid things that annoy me especially when I’m driving, I would always be stuck behind some huge Truck on the road or people driving really slow in front of me and I would get very upset with myself. I can feel how this lowers my body vibration when I’m upset and it takes a while to calm down, it seems I’m always pressed for time and there’s always someone in my way to slow me down and nothing gets me angrier like when someone is in front of me and moving so slow that pisses me off. Believe me, I’ve thought about the manifesting thing for some time now but I lack the frame of mind to even try it.
Under laboratory conditions, cutting edge science has confirmed that every thought is made up of energy and has its own unique frequency. And when this energy and frequency of a single thought radiates out into the Universe, it naturally interacts with the material world. Of course, it has long been known that matter, or physical objects, are also just packets of energy at the sub-microscopic, quantum level. And so, as your thought radiates out, it attracts the energy and frequencies of like thoughts, like objects, and even like people, and draws those things back to you.

Use positive self-talk to motivate yourself to take action. It’s normal to have negative thoughts about yourself, but this can hold you back. When you catch yourself thinking negatively, question that thought and replace it with a positive thought. Additionally, repeat your favorite positive mantra to yourself throughout the day to keep yourself on track.[13]
When I tell people that this is what it really means to believe in a law of attraction, they don't believe me. They say, that's ridiculous. We don't control everything in the universe. But you are a perfect example of the negative, blame the victim side of the LOA. I understand, appreciate, and respect that maintaining this perspective is consistent with your beliefs in the LOA. My personal belief is that this is not healthy for you, others with whom you connect, or for society in general.

In his 1910 The Science of Getting Rich Wallace D. Wattles espoused similar principles — that simply believing in the object of your desire and focusing on it will lead to that object or goal being realized on the material plane (Wattles claims in the Preface and later chapters of this book that his premise stems from the monistic Hindu view that God provides everything and can deliver what we focus on). The book also claims negative thinking will manifest negative results.[55]
Step 2. Write down your desire. It might help to clarify it beforehand. For example, you may have a strong intention to find a job so write down, “My intention is to be offered the job I seek. The job title is XXXX. My pay grade is $XXX,XX. The location of my job is XXXX. My boss is amenable. My work colleagues are friendly and helpful.” You will write this anew every day, so keep it short.
A lot of emphasis is put on the new age philosophy that we have to think positive thoughts but more importantly we have to focus on what is behind the thoughts, that is your state of being. Are you in a “fulfilled” state or are you in a “needy” state. Needy state is an illusion that thing you desire will buy you happiness. This greatly hampers the manifestation and you would be attached to the outcome and not be able to put in your best efforts. Be in the fulfilled state. Now it can get tricky here, you will now put the fulfilled state into a desirable object. Don’t do that, you just have to keep watching your mind objectively when it acts in needy state and that state will lose its grip. I highly recommend Anthony de Mello’s book “The Way to Love” to go beyond attachments and fear. Also find a meditation path that suits you. This will greatly help you to align your intentions with the totality’s intentions.
I do not claim to have all of those things either. However, I do have most of the things that I described and I managed to attain them through my value-based goals, plans, process-visualizations, and inspired action. I didn't ask the universe for it, you might say that the universe knew, but I was driven to get these things. I didn't act or pretend like I already had them.
I used to do a lot of work helping people to stop smoking. There are only 2 reasons people don’t stop smoking. One, because they don’t want to (often this is subconscious) Two, because they don’t believe it’s possible. Or they assume it will be incredibly difficult and painful, and they can’t do it without suffering forever. (Again, this is often subconscious and it is a flawed assumption).

Enlist others to hold you accountable for what you've committed to do. You've followed all the steps outlined above, so don't keep it to yourself. The more people you've got pulling for you--and keeping you accountable--the better. When you invite team members to hold you accountable, you are giving them a unique opportunity to see your thought process and how you visualize success. Let them know what you're working to attract, and you'll receive the support you need to achieve your next goal.

Visualization allows you to envision how you will successfully navigate business challenges and opportunities. It can be as simple as closing your eyes and imagining--in as much detail as possible--the upcoming steps you must take to achieve success. It can be as brief as a few minutes or as long as necessary to complete the mental picture of what you want to accomplish. Mornings and evenings are the best visualization times because that's when we tend to be the most relaxed.
Energy orbiting is the key that helps one change the negative traumas, thoughts, and beliefs in the subconscious mind and conscious mind into positive ones. These are the negative aspects which are to blame for the chain of unfortunate events taking place in your life. Effective energy orbiting is done by reaching deep within yourself into your “Transformation zones”. Here you should control your mind so that it shifts from the Beta state characterized by wakefulness and activity into Theta state characterized by calmness and deep meditation or deep sleep.

We are what we attract, or so it says in this book. I initially purchased this book for my husband and it does offer some interesting reading material, just not really what I thought it would be after reading so many glowing reviews about the book. Clearly, one does have to be open-minded when reading this book, but also take it all with a grain of salt. It more reminds me of "The Secret" and all of it's hype when it was so popular. According to my understanding of the basic concepts of the book is that everything that happens or lack there of begins in our own minds. Yes, true, that "as so a man think, he becomes". The value of this book is in promoting the idea that you have more control over your life than you think. The mind is capable of a lot, including how your body lives, how you present yourself to other people, etc. When you have a positive train of thought, you will have better health, better prosperity and better life in general. That simply is true and cannot be denied. I think this book is a good stepping stone on where to begin, but is seems reminiscent of Napoleon Hill's, "Think and Grow Rich," or James Allen's, "As a Man Thinketh,". What the book doesn't tell you is that when negative things happen to you, your positive attitude can turn those things into far less tragic events. There are other books that will make this more clear.
Skeptical Inquirer magazine criticized the lack of falsifiability and testability of these claims.[46] Critics have asserted that the evidence provided is usually anecdotal and that, because of the self-selecting nature of the positive reports, as well as the subjective nature of any results, these reports are susceptible to confirmation bias and selection bias.[47] Physicist Ali Alousi, for instance, criticized it as unmeasurable and questioned the likelihood that thoughts can affect anything outside the head.[1]

I read similar books often. I loved The Secret series by Rhonda Byrne. But this book adds meat to the bones of all the other LOA books I have read. It explains how and why LOA may, or may not, work for you. The writing style is conversational and clear. The guidance appears sincere. The book is written by someone who wants you to really understand LOA and how it can work in your life. I came away inspired to try LOA instead of saying 'what drivel.' Yes, there are a multitude of typos. Try and not get stuck on those. Instead, look for the message. It is laid out and waiting for you to try it. I will.

The first article about this was in Psychology Today - “Throw Away Your Vision Board.” After a quarter million hits and much hate mail, I wanted to make sure that I had a thorough LOA understanding so I read every book from the originators of the law in the late 1800s and became a certified “Advanced Practitioner of the Law of Attraction” by one of the authors of "The Secret." I then wrote “Throw Away Your Vision Board 2.” This time the feedback was a little more positive. I recently published the book, Throw Away Your Vision Board: The Truth About the Law of Attraction. This article will summarize 14 reasons why there is no LOA.  


Some of the most powerful affirmations are brought to life most significantly by understanding and using Law of Attraction methods. Law of Attraction focusses heavily on training your sub-conscious mind from limiting and often damaging beliefs that are instilled in us throughout the course of our lives. Therefore Law of Attraction affirmations specifically target the areas of your life that need improving and help you believe that you really can attract all of your dreams by improving self-perception. They also designed to ensure that you keep constant attention to your thoughts and behaviors as your day progresses. And by becoming more conscious of the way that you perceive yourself, in turn, this helps to combat the limiting beliefs that might otherwise creep in to create a negative reality.

If you’ve been part of the yes supply community for a while now you’ll know all about manifestation and the power of positive thoughts. If you’re new around here, manifesting is the idea that by filling your subconscious with thoughts and images of what you really want and by speaking positively about these things, you will bring them into your real life and manifest your yes.


As a mind-reader, you should try to ATTRACT a different job, since in no way do I have any anger towards anyone with erroneous beliefs. I do feel sorry for you, but this is not anger. This is a free country and free society and you are free to believe anything you desire and free to waste your time as you see fit. You can smoke cigarettes as well. They will harm you and that is your choice. Same as a belief in a LOA.

On the other hand, the subconscious mind is the part of your mind that is in the background. Many refer to it as a distant voice that speaks to you at certain moments. It is this part of your brain that deals with traumas dictates how you behave, what beliefs you have and how you feel. It is here where one can choose to store positivity or negativity.

Money is just a means of exchange and if you put out the right vibrations, you will attract the situations that call for inspired (read: joyful) action, and then you’ll get the results you desire. It’s important to hold your visualization for as long as you can without any mental or emotional interruption: aim for at least half a minute several times a day, consistently, for a month or so.
