There is no real risk to chasing your dreams. As far as I can tell, it’s a lot of fun and a thrilling journey. My experience with countless clients over many, many years, is that all the risk…all the frustration…and all the disappointment, is born from not chasing dreams. (But please remember, there is a way to chase dreams successfully which is like chasing butterflies. Put yourself in the right energy field, and become a magnet for those butterflies. The more direct method of butterfly catching is so much harder).
I am motivated and encouraged after reading this book. This book talks about the power of affirmation and how it can be manifested in your life in whatever situation or circumstance you are in. This is helpful especially for those who struggle and are at odds with life. It will also push you to have a positive outlook in life and exudes positive energy and positive vibes. The different affirmation statements given are beneficial and uplifting. They are so powerful that even as I am reading and trying to recite and repeat them, I could sense positive energy flowing in. Truly, positive affirmations bring positive effects in you! I recommend this book to everyone.
13) Placebo Effect: Placebos are inactive, ineffective substances to which a positive effect has been attributed. The greater your expectations and beliefs that something will be effective, the greater chance it has of creating a positive response. The mind is a powerful tool. We can increase or decrease our heart rate and blood pressure through visualization. A few individuals using a LOA have a firm belief that it will work and so it does. People tend to have more success with the LOA for smaller items for which they did not make a vision board; finding money on the street, getting a check in the mail, hearing from a long lost friend, etc. Is a belief in a law of attraction any better than rubbing a rabbit’s foot, tossing a coin in the fountain, or pulling apart a wishbone? Test it yourself, the answer is no!

The Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the universe. Just like gravity, it is always in effect, always in motion. It is working in your life at this very moment. You are always in a state of creation. You are creating your reality in every moment of every day. You are creating your future with every single thought: either consciously or subconsciously. It is very easy to manifest our desired order in a restaurant. Manifesting with the Universe may take a bit more time, energy and effort yet it can still result in our desired order! We place our order with the Universe with our conscious and subconscious thoughts. However, if negativity, fear or doubt seep into our thoughts, even subconsciously, we can be certain something unwanted will show up.

Replace your worries with thoughts about how things could go right. Worrying can make you manifest what you're trying to avoid.[6] When worries happen, challenge them by questioning how likely they are to happen. Then, think about what has happened in the past when you worried. Next, consider how bad the worst case scenario would be if your worried thoughts actually happened. You'll likely realize it's not that big of a deal in the long-run.[7]

"You cannot request or manifest a relationship as we desire. There is a beautiful component of wishing, manifesting, etc. that people often forget: free will. One cannot make someone do what they want them to do. ... To manifest a new relationship, one needs to create a list that can easily be fulfilled. A client of mine once made a list of the qualities she wanted in a man, but she listed each request as, 'I want a man who... and a man who... and a man who...' She ended up becoming involved with three different men with each of the qualities requested, not one man with all three qualities. Manifesting can be tricky," Rappaport warns.

When we connect to the "why," we raise our vibration and become magnets for attracting the people, circumstances, etc. that will help us achieve our goal.

Your second point is an interesting discussion. You are correct that in its infancy, psychology was criticized for claiming to be a scientific field and not living up to that assertion by performing quality research. I believe that this question has been put to rest as the rigors of publishing in psychology require randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trials.
Most people are looking forward to learn how to live life as per their desires and attract profusion or richness. They are likely to do so by understanding the law of attraction. This law is all about matching the active frequencies (energetic) to attract whatever we desire in reality. The basis of this law is that like attracts like. Whatever we focus on surely grows, may it be positive or negative.

10) Blame Yourself: As the LOA is supposed to be a perfect, universal law, positivity should ALWAYS attract more positivity. The corollary of this is that you alone are completely responsible for any goal that was not successfully achieved, no matter how unrealistic the goal. This assumes that you not only control your thoughts and actions, but also those of everyone around you…and nature. The fact is, that you don’t. Sorry to break that to you.

Another example could be to bring new a relationship into your life. Define clearly the type of relationship you most need, even if it is not the obvious first desire. Although you may want committed intimacy, maybe what you need most at the moment is supportive friendship. Assess any limiting beliefs you hold about that type of relationship. Finally, decide what you need to clear out of your mind or heart to allow this is to manifest for you now.
The spoken word has always had great power and always will. It serves many purposes, among them transmitting energy as intent or communicating messages or ideas. If we have a desire or intent we wish for ourselves and our lives, it can solidify it and give us a means of expression for it to set our desires in motion. This can be done in a manner as simple as making a wish for something out loud to another person.
3) No Action: The only way to manifest your thoughts into things is to believe and live as if you’ve already accomplished your goal. LOA guru Esther Hicks said, “You did not come into this environment to create through action.” Action shows the Universe that you know you don’t have it and that you doubt its ability to manifest it for you. While it is obvious to most that action is a necessary component of goal achievement, it is completely inconsistent with a belief in a LOA.
The law of attraction is not a magic wand. Because the brain preferentially scans and stores negative experiences, we have to consciously, habitually build the positive mental muscle. We all have layers and layers of stories, limiting beliefs, fears and blocks that have become the interior landscape of our minds and cannot be changed overnight just by thinking positive thoughts.
So we know energy is the basis of all matter. And energy is boundary-less and can spread throughout the entire universe. So perhaps you see the possibility that our thoughts – which are clearly energy – could interact with other energies in the universe. And if they do this, maybe they can affect the form in which energy comes into being (or manifests) as physical reality.

I purchased the full package with great reservation. But after using it for a few days, I discovered it is well worth it. There were so many “games” to help one with being positive and encouraging benevolent outcomes. The games are varied, well thought out, and engaging. In a good way, they force one to concentrate on the many positive aspects of life, not just financial. The company has also informed me that they are going to come up with even more games with the updates. For me, it is a really good addition to the secret to money which is a good app, but this offers even more.
I kept hearing about this book. I expected it to be a new age, wish on a star book. But, it was a good read. It reminded me that, at least to some extent, we do create our own reality by the attitude we project. If we are a grump, we attract other grumps, not happy persons, to us. And so on. It is a quick read, a fun read, lots of white space, easy to understand and assimilate, no high psychology words, no mumbo jumbo. Good illustrations. Definitely written for the layman. I've also seen Losier's videos and they are more of the same.
I purchased this book by accident, and instead of requesting a cancellation I decided to read it, on the off-chance it was meant for me to read, and it was. Let's just say I enjoyed the book very much. I read a lot of books on the subject of LOA and this writer got to the point and better explained how everything works. It was worth the price I paid.

A key part of the Law of Attraction is understanding that where you place your focus can have an intense impact on what happens to you. If you spend your days wallowing in regrets about the past or fears of the future, you’ll likely see more negativity appearing, but if you look for the silver lining in every experience then you’ll soon start to see positivity surrounding you every day. Therefore, the Law of Attraction encourages you to see that you have the freedom to take control of how your future develops, shaping it in the ways you choose.
It's curious that people who believe in a LOA are critical of those who don't and believe them to be close-minded. I have presented a lot of new data such as the erroneous science and the data showing that acting as though you had already accomplished your goals was detrimental to you doing so. Yet, LOA proponents do not look at this with an open mind and reconsider their belief system. In this way LOA is akin to a faith-based religion, except that religious beliefs can't be disproven.
Napoleon Hill published two books on the theme. The first, The Law of Success in 16 Lessons (1928), directly and repeatedly references the Law of Attraction and proposes that it operates by use of radio waves transmitted by the brain. The second, Think and Grow Rich (1937), went on to sell 100 million copies by 2015.[59] Hill insisted on the importance of controlling one's own thoughts in order to achieve success, as well as the energy that thoughts have and their ability to attract other thoughts. He mentions a "secret" to success and promises to indirectly describe it at least once in every chapter. It is never named and he says that discovering it on one's own is far more beneficial. Many people have argued over what it[60] actually is, some claim it's the Law of Attraction. Hill states the "secret" is mentioned no fewer than a hundred times, yet reference to "attract" is used less than 30 times in the text. He further claims that people can obtain what they desire through thought of definite purpose.[61]
Schedule some quiet time for some deep contemplation of what you desire to create in your life. What are your goals, hopes and wishes? Sit down with a pen and paper. Get clear, crystal clear. Define what you do want. Describe it, draw it, and define it. Define it in terms of the positive attributes. Define the attributes and characteristics of your dream. Take care not to use anything as a descriptor that is actually a statement about what your dream is not. Define what it is. Know exactly what it is you want.
