People living today have the same access to the original creators' texts online as people in 1880 had in printed books. It's exactly the same material. You're essentially arguing against yourself because asserting that no one knows for sure about it would have to apply to the people in 1880 as well. Your argument is an appeal to ignorance, which is a logical fallacy. The text in the creators' books is precisely the data he's referring to, a intellectual creation that has absolutely no scientific basis.

I kept hearing about this book. I expected it to be a new age, wish on a star book. But, it was a good read. It reminded me that, at least to some extent, we do create our own reality by the attitude we project. If we are a grump, we attract other grumps, not happy persons, to us. And so on. It is a quick read, a fun read, lots of white space, easy to understand and assimilate, no high psychology words, no mumbo jumbo. Good illustrations. Definitely written for the layman. I've also seen Losier's videos and they are more of the same.

The simple act of reading or uttering positive sounding statements is futile. This will do nothing to help us manifest our desires. In order for an attraction affirmation to work, it must resonate emotionally with us. If I’m attempting to lose weight and therefore I recite an affirmation every morning about how slim I am or how slender I will be in the future, it will have no effect UNLESS I truly believe in the words I am reading. These kind of things most of the time happen to us – we don’t plan to wake up in a good mood; but as the day goes on, and the good things keep happening, we begin to notice how happy we are, we are saying and doing all the nice things and, if we don’t stop ourselves  (the “too good to be true” moment), it will continue that way, and even more of good things will happen, making us feel even better. If that day could go on forever, we’d probably become a snowball that grows thanks to the good things and good people it absorbs 🙂
This is not about blame. I truly believe it’s our job to do what we can to hold a positive vibration, BUT we live in a big ol’ Universe that’s always conspiring for us too. Timing is divine and sometimes things are just doing what they need to do because of something we can’t see. It’s important to not blame ourselves when things don’t happen like we intend, but instead to just keep on doing what we can and know it’s all working out for the greater good.
Schedule some quiet time for some deep contemplation of what you desire to create in your life. What are your goals, hopes and wishes? Sit down with a pen and paper. Get clear, crystal clear. Define what you do want. Describe it, draw it, and define it. Define it in terms of the positive attributes. Define the attributes and characteristics of your dream. Take care not to use anything as a descriptor that is actually a statement about what your dream is not. Define what it is. Know exactly what it is you want.
This is a great book. But it doesn't really get into "The Secret BEHIND The Secret" so-to-speak. "The Master Key System" by Charles F. Haanel still is, and will ALWAYS be, the greatest book on this subject that has ever existed. It is "one stop shopping" and explains it all in a very simple and easy-to-read book that is almost a hundred years old. This book was the third I got from Esther and Jerry Hicks, and was not a bad read for what I knew at the time. But "The Master Key System" was TRULY the life-transforming book I needed to read. And THAT was the one that changed my life. This one goes into WHAT The Law of Attraction can do. But not really HOW or WHY.

Example: “I don’t want this pain. I can’t stand this pain” changes to “I want to feel good in my body. I want to be able to walk easily and freely.” Do not use any negative words when you shift your talk, because whatever you focus on, grows. And you are trying to grow the positive, which is what you do want. If you focus on “I don’t want to feel this way,” you are giving your focus to feeling that way and attracting that very thing.

Although there is a lot of worth to even simply learning what the Law of Attraction is, you can really start using it to its full potential when you begin to understand that it can be used in subtle ways every minute of the day. Becoming more mindful of your own thoughts helps you to see to discover what you should keep or remove from your own mind and the reality your experience. You will become more attentive to underlying negativity and can start to combat it with new beliefs and feelings that better reflect your positive vision of the coming days. This ongoing focus on self-reflection also enables you to start seeing what you really want from your future, and you can then progress to formulating clearer goals with actionable steps at every stage.

It is also important to write your affirmation in present tense. Use words such as “Is” “I am becoming” “I am” “I have” rather than words such as “I will be” “I am going to be,” etc. There is great creative power in the present moment and by stating your attraction affirmation with wording that alludes to future success, you’re missing out on this.
a) Electrons have positive charges. b) In physics “Like always attracts like.” [magnets?] c) Thinking burns up brain matter. d) Only ether (not air) conducts light and thought. e) Ether connects all minds together. When 2 or more minds come close together, “mind stuff” mixes, and creates a third, “master mind.” f) Higher altitudes have more oxygen, better air for breathing. g) Vibrating sound more quickly turns it into heat, then light, than thought. h) Thought energy is 40,000 Hz to 4 X 1014 Hz or above 7 x 1014 Hz. In reality brain waves are slow 1 – 100 Hz. i) The universe hears nouns, not adjectives or qualifiers or only sees pictures of your thoughts. j) Every thought you have (about 70,000/day) has a specific frequency or wavelength of energy. “Thought Stuff” leaves your brain, travels through the ether around us and causes “Formless Stuff” to create whatever you are thinking about.
This is the most “yin” or “feminine” stage of creation. Its season is winter. Its moon phase is the new moon. Within us, it’s the idea. The spark of insight. The vision. Dream. Intuition, or the invisible nudge from deep inside. We can’t see it, touch it, or point to it. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t trust it. Believe. The gifts from the muse can’t be scientifically proven (yet), but they're real. Talk to them. Partner with them. Ask them questions. Trust. They will answer, if you slow down, get quiet, and give them the space to whisper to you.

Which brought me to this basic statement of the fundamental Abraham teaching. And what a fine, excellent book it is. It explains so many things, why things are the way they are, why we keep trying to change things, but keep winding up with the same disappointing, unwanted results, and how to change the way we tell the Universe what it is we truly want.

The concept of manifesting destiny, which rests on the Law of Attraction, is the idea that investing positive energy and belief in any desired outcome will allow a person to bring the outcome to fruition. In other words, you have the power to get what you want simply by believing in it. Sound a little crazy? Maybe. But if people swear by it, it's worth at least exploring, right?

I have known of the Law Of Attraction (LOA) for many years, and first went to hear Abraham in the early 1980s, but I considered the LOA too simple a formula, too cute, to be all that Abraham says. But, after another 35 years of spiritual study, I found myself once again back at the LOA. Only this time with a realization: the LOA is the gravity of the Universe. Perhaps not in a purely physical sense, but by analogy, it is exactly that

We are talking a lot on this site about the power of our subconscious (see the article about how positive affirmations work): the more you repeat an affirmation, the more you believe it’s true. Now, affirmations – they’re only sentences. “This is red” and “this isn’t red” – these are both affirmations, just like “I am pretty” and “I’m not very pretty”. The difference – the first one, positive one, makes you feel good about yourself, and the other – not so much.
Now that you understand what the Law of Attraction really is and how it works, let’s talk about the ways you can use it to improve your life. The Law of Attraction is a universal principle that is already working in your life. Start intentionally thinking and feeling what it is you want to attract into your life — such as money, love and relationships, health and spirituality — to make the Law of Attraction work for you.

Learning this was a lightbulb moment for me! I love this principle of the Law of Attraction. Some people refer to this “inner being” as your “higher self,” “soul,” or “core.” This is the part of you that only wants you to experience joy and love and not experience feeling bad, seeing yourself as unworthy or unlovable and other negative beliefs and emotions we can tend to dive right in to. The teachings of Abraham say that your emotions are indicators of either a “match” or “mismatch” in what you are thinking/feeling and what your inner being is wanting. When you become out of alignment with what your inner being wants, you feel this as negative emotion. You are essentially feeling the separation of yourself from you inner being/knowing.
I was thinking the same. I've never heard a "professional" man of his age, speaking like such a catty little 15 year old girl. If you read all the comments you can see how he speaks down to/mocks every person who disagrees with him, while sarcastically throwing little digs in wherever he can. I came to this article looking for evidence to discredit the LOA. I just can't seem to take anything he wrote seriously because of his unprofessionalism. Very narrsassitic.
Be as clear as a laser beam. The ‘’ideal’’ effortless and conscious manifestation should look like a laser beam. Laser beam is 100% focused on one goal with all its energy and purity. We have to be certain and focused just as the laser beam is. If there is anything holding you back from believing or focusing on your goal then this something will be stopping your from manifesting your desire. I know that it’s very difficult to be crystal clear and focused but also shorter periods of time can do the magic because it brings up back to what I wrote earlier — conscious decision can create miracles. If we decide with all our will and focus then we can change an unwanted outcome into something what we want instead.
